EC Science Lab
Instructor: Mrs. Beckwith
WELCOME BACK!

We are so excited here in the lab. All of our animal friends have missed everyone and cannot wait to start the school year. Wait until you see the ducks...they are a bunch of BIG boys!

PreK - Pre1st
We will be starting the year by introducing our little scientists to the lab and it's animal friends. We will learn about the importance of science and why we go to the lab once a week. A glo-germs experiment will be a fun way to learn about safety in the lab.

First Grade
We have some great news for our first graders! In order to do more advanced on-going experiments in the lab, each class will be divided in half. 10-12 first graders will come to the lab at once, instead of 20-22. This will allow us to do more in-depth, personal, and on-going experiments. What fun!

This page is updated weekly with a summary of our activities and pictures of us in action. Make sure to check us out! Please read the EC Science Lab Donations file at the bottom right of this page.

If you have any questions, please e-mail Mrs. Beckwith at ebeckwith@stmartinschool.org.

It is going to be a great year!!

Penguin receives knighthood at Edinburgh zoo
He wore an impeccable black and white coat, and his right sleeve was adorned with medals.

A penguin named "Nils Olav" from the Edinburgh Zoo was knighted in front of 30 members of the Norwegian guard. He's the Colonel-in-chief of the Norwegian army, and the third penguin in Norwegian history to receive the honor. It's a tradition!
